WAH job to stay away from

 It's been a little over 4 months since I wrote about my experience with PixProfit. I haven't been back to work there, but I did stop by the site to see if the pay increased. It hasn't. You still get paid $1 for 1000 snippets. You used to be able to request payment as soon as you made $1 but that has changed. You can only request payment once you make $3 which, I believe, is going to take a long, long time.

I spend a lot of time on WAHM.com. Lately, I've been spending way too much time browsing the telecommuting forum I've found a ton of job listings.
Yesterday, I came across a post that mentioned this company called Pixprofit. It's a data entry company and I figured I could do something like that.
So off I went to the website and applied. It was actually VERY easy. All I had to do was give them my email address and my name and that was it. I was hired on the spot. I got the confirmation seconds after I clicked on the submit button.
Now according to the Pixprofit website, they pay you $1 for 1000 pictures. Even though I know I am worth more than that, I figured I'd give it a try. According to them you are only limited by your typing speed and if you type really fast you can earn up to $3 an hour. I am a very good typist and figured I could do better. So I gave it a try today and I swear it took me at least 2 hours to earn my $1!!! Ridiculous!!
I ended up typing more than the 1000 words...I had to go up to 1080 before I got my $1. This is after I made up the errors...errors aren't counted so on the workspace page it says you've typed 500 words but if you click on the STATS button it'll show you how many words you typed correctly (and those are the ones they pay you for). So if I typed 500 words but only typed 450 correctly then I have to type in an extra 50 to get my $1. Or so I thought! I did that and still didn't get my $1 credit. So I typed on and on and after typing in an extra 80 words, I got my dollar credit.
I decided to reread the info they provided on their homepage and realized that they will pay UP to a $1 for every thousand words. It's their way of saying, "You will be getting paid less than a dollar for every thousand words."
They pay you thru paypal and only after you have earned a $1. And that's why I wanted to get up to a dollar. I want to see if they really pay. But really it was a waste of my time and so not worth it.
And they are so wrong...you are not only limited by your typing. Sometimes (most of the time but there were a few times when it would load right away) it takes a while for the picture to load...seconds are wasted as you wait for it to load. Time is money right? So add up all the time wasted just by waiting for the darn picture to load, and there's goes half your valuable time.
I really don't see how you can make any money off this site. You are literally working for pennies. And you and I are worth much more than that!
