Work At Home:Calling In Sick

One of the best things about being a work at home mom is that when you're sick you don't have to call in sick. You don't have to beg the boss for a day off. You don't have to show proof that you spent the day at the doctor's office. You don't have to get permission from anybody but yourself. How great is that? I've been sick for the past week so I've been taking a lot of sick days.

Since I've been laying in bed with not much too do (I don't have the energy to sit up and work. I get nauseated) so I've been thinking about what I need to do with my life. Working at home is great but I'd like to do more. Start my own business. Do something for myself. And so I've decided to start my own business. It's something I've wanted to do for a long time but I've always put it off. I am working for myself right now but it's a lot of little jobs here and there. I'm making decent money but it's not about the money. It's more about doing something for myself.
I signed up for some online classes and will be working toward my goal (more on that later).
For now, I think I'd better take a little nap because I'm started to feel nauseated.

Working and studying

I have been busy getting ready to take my real estate licensing exam. I figure I can do this job while working from home. And I love that I can work when I want (or when the client wants).
I think the hardest thing about working from home and taking home study courses is figuring out how to manage your time. I finally set up a schedule and have been trying to follow it but other stuff always comes up. It's hard to stay focused while working or studying from home.
What do you all do to stay focused?

Ladies Who Launch

I've been reading Ladies who Launch. I bought the book because I had heard so many great things about it. When I started reading the book, I thought the authors were repeating themselves too much. I almost put the book down but I promised myself that I'd give it a chance and I'd get through the first 3 chapters. I am so glad I kept reading. This book is full of motivation and inspiration.
If you've ever had a dream but keep putting it off, this book is for you. There a motivational stories throughout the book of ladies who made their dreams a reality. There are also exercises to help you discover yourself. All my life, I've put myself and my dreams aside, but after reading this book, I feel like I can do anything. I am going to accomplish the one dream I've had for the past 6 years. I just know I can do it and so can you!
Your dream can be anything. Whether you want to start a business or learn a new craft , it's all possible. All you have to do is go for it and take the leap!
I am not even finished with the book yet but I highly recommend it. It's that good and it's worth your time.
